There’s something so magical about summer weddings at The Arboretum, University of Guelph. It’s one of those venues that has it all — gorgeous trees, lush greenery, and endless photo spots. I had the pleasure of photographing Chris and Jackie’s wedding, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. From their emotional first look to their laughter-filled reception, this day was such a joy to capture.
First Look at The Arboretum, University of Guelph
Chris and Jackie decided to do a first look before the ceremony — just the two of them. It was such a sweet and intimate moment. You could see how excited they both were to finally see each other. After that, their friends and family joined in for a mini photo session surrounded by the Arboretum’s stunning gardens.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Under the Trees
Their ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by tall trees and soft summer light. Even though it was a hot day, the weather worked perfectly for us — a little overcast, not too sunny, just right for photos. The setting felt peaceful and romantic, and you could tell everyone was soaking in the moment.
Family and Couple Photos Around The Arboretum
After the ceremony, we took family portraits and then had some fun exploring the gardens for couple photos. The Arboretum has so many beautiful corners — from wide open fields to shaded trails — every spot felt like a painting. Chris and Jackie were so natural in front of the camera, and you could really see how much they enjoyed being together.
Dinner Reception at The Arboretum Centre
The celebration continued inside the Arboretum Centre, where everyone gathered for dinner and speeches. The room was filled with laughter, stories, and a few happy tears. It was the perfect way to wrap up such a warm and heartfelt summer wedding day.
